Helmets

The CAM have mandated the use of helmets for all National Championships under their umbrella.  This includes all batters and wicket keepers (up at the stumps). 

This decision was reached with the support of all State bodies.  This means that all games under the umbrella of CAM enforces the use of helmets.

VCV support the use of helmets, but it is not mandated under our rules, so the option remains with the player whether they wear a helmet whilst batting in our domestic competitions.

If it is mandated for all National Championships, then the batter will be timed out if they refuse to wear a helmet when batting - but in our local competitions, we are leaving the decision to the individual?
