The VCV committee has endorsed the Child Safety Policy at a recent meeting. As part of the commitment we have nominated Gail Schmidt to be our Child Safety Officer and Mark McLauchlan to be the Complaints Officer. Contact details are available on the website under the Child Safety tab.

Unfortunately Peter Verechia has stood down as the Chair of the Over 60 age group. Fortunately we are pleased to announce that Clive Welti has agreed to take over the role for the remainder of the season. Clive brings a wealth of cricket experience and is no stranger to the Over 60 playing group. Please join me in extending our congratulations to Clive and provide as much support to him in this new role. Clive was primarily responsible for the Over 60 PlayHQ administration

The match scheduled for Tuesday November 4 2025 has been postponed due to inclement weather. The match will be rescheduled for later in the season.

“HAMMER’S HEROES VS MCGLYNN’S MARVELS” Confirming that with support from Buffalo Sports and Caulfield RSL the Hammer-McGlynn Shield Over 80s Cricket Match is forging ahead for Cup Day, Tuesday 4 November, 2025. A reminder that the match is to be played at Holmes Todd Oval which is the rear oval at Elsternwick Park. If weather is unsuitable for a turf match, the back-up ground is Hurlingham Park, East Brighton. The game will start at 10.00am with lunch provided for players and
