Veterans Cricket Victoria is saddened to inform members of the passing of Alan Duffus. Alan was a foundation member of VCV and a great ally of John Hammer. When John advertised for expressions of interest for players in the inaugural Over 60s match in January 2003, it was Alan Duffus who coordinated the North of the Yarra team. Alan captained the team against John’s South of the Yarra team. Alan played for Yarra North in the next two annual matches making 34 no and 30 no in t

The VCV committee has endorsed the Child Safety Policy at a recent meeting. As part of the commitment we have nominated Gail Schmidt to be our Child Safety Officer and Mark McLauchlan to be the Complaints Officer. Contact details are available on the website under the Child Safety tab.

Unfortunately Peter Verechia has stood down as the Chair of the Over 60 age group. Fortunately we are pleased to announce that Clive Welti has agreed to take over the role for the remainder of the season. Clive brings a wealth of cricket experience and is no stranger to the Over 60 playing group. Please join me in extending our congratulations to Clive and provide as much support to him in this new role. Clive was primarily responsible for the Over 60 PlayHQ administration

The match scheduled for Tuesday November 4 2025 has been postponed due to inclement weather. The match will be rescheduled for later in the season.
