Clarification On The Wearing Of Helmets

The CAM have mandated the use of helmets for all National Championships under their umbrella.  This includes all batters and wicket keepers (up at the stumps).  This decision was reached with the support of all State bodies.  This means that all games under the umbrella of CAM enforces the use of helmets.

VCV support the use of helmets, but it is not mandated under our rules for our local competitions.  The option remains with the player whether they wear a helmet whilst batting or not when playing in a VCV competition match.

This is consistent with many associations that operate throughout Victoria.
