Vic Vets O50s Update Official Training Commencing

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all really well and enjoying this Winter chill…

I thought it was about time I updated everyone to next steps as this weekend is the Tri Series in Brisbane against, NSW, QLD and Queenmania(combination of Qld & Tas players).

We are sending 2 teams, one from O50’s Program and one from the O55’s Program.

All players selected are keen to get up there and represent the Big V and we are expecting some strong results.

After this weekend, our focus turns to official training for the O50’s Vets group.

I can confirm that we start official training on Thursday 11th July and we will be training each Thursday after that through July and August.

These training's are NOT compulsory and some will be there for every session and some will decide how often, depending on work and family commitments, which we understand.

We also know that there are players that are keen to start training NOW so, if you feel inclined to roll the arm over before the 11th, or hit some balls in anger, Paul at Saxon Sports at 37-51 Lusher Rd Croydon, has advised that there are a couple of available nets this Wed, being the 26th June and next Wed, being the 4th July. Training will commence at 7.30pm and will cost each player $10 to contribute towards the net hire, each week.

The intention is still to send teams to Gloucester NSW, from both the O50’s and O55’s Program, which will be at the end of August, as our main lead in to the Nationals which are in Newcastle over the Melbourne Cup week, arriving there on Sat 2nd Nov for a Sun 3rd commencement.

Good luck to all players this weekend in Brisbane, go well.

Cheers for now.
